The Voz Alta Project

Amistades Inc., a Latino-led nonprofit based in Tucson, AZ, provides education on substance use prevention in schools and helps link people with opioid use disorder to treatment and recovery services. A grant from FORE will allow the organization to launch an extensive outreach campaign and develop navigation tools that guide Latino residents seeking assistance with opioid use disorder to programs and services. The region Amistades serves has seen a 50 percent increase in opioid-related fatalities since 2020.
