Multi-Generational Approach to Opioid Use Disorder Prevention and Recovery Support Initiatives

The Essential Hospitals Institute (EHI) will launch a 12-month learning collaborative to support five safety-net hospitals as they adopt and scale intergenerational approaches to opioid use disorder (OUD) prevention, treatment, and recovery services. The curriculum will focus on promising and evidence-based practices for integrated OUD care, including ones that combine perinatal care, parent-child relationship supports, social services, and prevention initiatives. EHI will track the impact of the learning collaborative on treatment outcomes and disseminate best practices to hospitals that serve communities at highest risk of OUD and overdose.
