Sustainable Rural Post-Overdose Follow-up & Harm Reduction Data Monitoring to Inform Better Services

Holler Harm Reduction uses mobile outreach teams to bring a broad array of harm reduction services to residents of Madison County, North Carolina, a rural region in the Appalachian Mountains. With FORE’s support, the organization will create a staff position dedicated to supporting individuals after non-fatal overdoses through peer counseling and referrals to treatment. The organization will also develop a system for tracking and recording overdose and reversal trends and educate and support people who use drugs to reduce and prevent overdose deaths.
