Intercambios Puerto Rico provides harm reduction services to people living in extreme poverty, half of whom are unhoused. FORE’s support will enable the organization to reach four new municipalities, equip first responders with overdose prevention information and tools, and obtain the necessary licensing to provide medications for opioid use disorder. The organization currently serves 13 municipalities across Eastern Puerto Rico with a staff of psychologists, patient navigators, peer outreach workers, and others.
