Strengthening State-Level Prevention, Treatment, Recovery, and Harm Reduction Infrastructure to Address the Opioid and Substance Use Crisis

This project builds on two previous FORE awards, which allowed NASHP to support states implementing policies to increase access to opioid and substance use disorder treatment and to administer opioid settlement funds. With the new award, NASHP will continue to highlight and inform opioid and substance use disorder strategies across states, with a particular focus on cross-agency alignment of funding resources, deployment of opioid settlement funds, and continued engagement with state executive branch officials. The information, analyses, and policy content provided by NASHP is expected to lead to tangible progress in states’ strategic planning and implementation of policies to improve services across the opioid and substance use disorder continuum of care.
