Integrating & Supporting Peer Recovery Support & Services in Community Clinical Settings
The National Council for Mental Wellbeing will develop a toolkit and training curricula to support Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) in integrating peer recovery support and services in their operations. CCBHCs, which provide mental health and substance use disorder services to patients regardless of their ability to pay, are required to provide such supports, but often lack knowledge of best practices for effectively integrating peers in clinical settings. The council plans to pilot the toolkit in 30 CCBHCs.
