California Bridge Emergency Department Medications for Opioid Use Disorder Initiative - Phase 2

Emergency department (ED) providers are often the first clinicians people recovering from an opioid overdose see. This project will build on FORE’s prior grant in support of CA Bridge, which helped ED providers initiate medications for OUD (MOUD) and connect patients to ongoing treatment in California EDs and as well as hospitals and EDs across the U.S. that received technical assistance and other supports from CA Bridge. This grant will enable the organization to continue this work, focusing on safety-net, public, community, and critical access hospitals. The goal is to build capacity for EDs to offer MOUD in every state through technical assistance, supportive policies, and development of a national community of practice.
