Alison Sutter is Senior Program Officer at the Foundation for Opioid Response Efforts (FORE).

Alison has more than ten years of experience in nonprofit work, including community services and philanthropy. Prior to joining FORE, she was a Program Director with Community Access, Inc. where she oversaw an affordable housing program in New York City that provides comprehensive supportive services to adults with mental health concerns and histories of homelessness. Alison previously worked at the Open Society Foundations Public Health Program as the Program Coordinator of their International Harm Reduction Development Program, where she supported a portfolio of grants to advance the health and rights of people who use drugs. Alison began her career as a Grants Associate at the Urban Justice Center’s Mental Health Project, where she was part of a team that provides legal services to low-income New Yorkers.

Alison is a Licensed Social Worker in the State of New York and received an M.S.W. from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College where she studied Organizational Management and Leadership. She received an M.P.H. from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University where she studied Population and Family Health with a certificate in Injury Prevention and Control epidemiology. Alison holds a B.A. in Metropolitan Studies from New York University.
