Jaisen Garcia-Castillo – Lighting the Path to Recovery: A Survey of Peer Recovery Coaches

In 2022, the Foundation for Opioid Response Efforts (FORE) commissioned what is believed to be the most comprehensive survey to date of peer recovery coaches who support people with opioid use disorder. In addition to learning about peers’ experiences with training, certification, supervision, and compensation, we heard what motivates them to do their work and what supports they would need to remain in the profession over the long term.
