As the pandemic rages on, there are troubling signs that substance use and mental health problems have risen dramatically among youth and young adults. In a new issue brief, we hear from researchers at the Urban Institute who are exploring ways to strengthen opioid use disorder (OUD) services for young people covered by Medicaid. We also profile two FORE grantees, Young People in Recovery and Association of Recovery in Higher Education, that are helping adolescents and young people find support services to maintain their recovery.
