Scaling the Prevention Education Partnership Opioid Overdose Prevention Program for Schools: A Pilot for Nationwide Expansion

In collaboration Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH, the NYU Grossman School of Medicine (NYUGSoM) will replicate its successful Prevention Education Partnership (PEP) in the Columbus City Schools District. The two organizations will deliver comprehensive, physician-led opioid education and overdose prevention training in public schools to students, families, and teachers and evaluate the program’s adoption, feasibility, fidelity, and sustainability. NYUGSoM’s PEP team will also build a comprehensive toolkit of implementation resources to support future replication projects in additional school districts and promote consistent quality.
